Microstructured Optical Films
Specialty Packaging Films

WFT Technology (WFT) began operations in 1986 as a partnership and was incorporated in 1996 as a privately held Corporation. WFT is located in Paramount, California with 52,000 square feet of facilities and is a company that produces replicated microstructure films. The tooling department is responsible for all microstructure tooling needs including daily customer recombining and master production tooling. The production department is in charge of customer stock tooling and all embossed production. Its scientific staff includes Ph.D.s in physics, electrical engineering and chemical engineering. WFT has experience with most holographic structures including holographic optical elements and diffusers, computer generated elements, diamond cut prismatic structures including Fresnel lenses, and other custom patterned surface relief structures.

WFT currently mass produces in a roll-to roll process, products such as tailored microstructure diffusers (TMD(TM)), diffraction gratings, security holograms, moth-eye antireflection film, and various Prismatic microstructure films.

WFT has an extensive holographic lab that includes a coating facility, test lab, and recording lab. The recording lab can produce holographic optical elements (HOE) as well as high end security display holograms. Hundreds of gratings have been produced with different frequencies and modulations for various applications. WFT has mastered the largest crossed diffraction grating in the world (65 in. sq.) used to produce seamless holographic "Rainbow" packaging materials.

WFT's tooling department is known in the embossing industry for its high quality and fast turn-around. This includes recombining up to 48" x 70". Customization of holograms with the use of drop-in's can be achieved long after the holograms have been originated.
